Research is focused mainly in the developing issues of the Asian countries;
the impact of information technology on the urban and regional development;
the importance of computer programming on transportation systems, and;
globalization and changing of national economies.
The research is focused on planning system and management policies for
Asian cities. Cities as outcome of many factors including economic development
are considered engines of growth. In the framework of developing countries,
cities are facing a rapid growth, which followed by infrastructure deficiencies
and land consumption. The research is focused on treatment of existing
structures, in terms of upgrading and formulating policies regarding
to future management of the rapid growth toward sustainability.
Telework and telecommuting are changing the structure of cities and
the patterns of regional development. The research assess the impact
of information technology on land uses such as residential and office
locations.
Research is focused on the planning system and institutional framework
of cities in Asian countries. Case studies are chosen in countries like:
Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, and so on, and the research is conducted
to develop planning techniques for rehabilitation and controlling the
urbanization process urban fringe of large cities.
Research is carried out in different cities with different transportation
systems to assess the impact of computer programming on family budget
and reduction of energy consumption. Using GIS software program, the
research is focused on stimulating efficient models for the above reason
and for protecting the environment through reduction of energy consumption.
